FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEUnemployment Win Reopens Pro Bono and Low-Cost Representation for Claimants Beginning March 2026
New York, New York — March 2026 — Unemployment Win announced today that, following the successful implementation of enhanced anti-fraud measures, the firm will once again accept pro bono, free, and low-cost claimant clients beginning this month.
The organization’s low-cost program for small business employer clients will continue unchanged.
Unemployment Win stated that the expansion reflects the success of the firm's new protocols to screen out fraudulent claimants and scammers along with a renewed drive to provide broad access to representation in unemployment insurance hearings.
“There is a persistent misconception that unemployment claimants are destitute or dependent,” the firm said in a statement. “In reality, the overwhelming majority are hardworking, self-sufficient individuals who have lost their employment through no fault of their own.”
The firm reports that it has represented claimants across a wide income spectrum, including individuals earning in the mid–six-figure range. In one hearing, a client produced a $500,000 W-2 form. According to the firm, job loss does not discriminate by income level.
Unemployment insurance, the organization noted, functions as an earned safety net — a financial parachute designed to help workers transition to new employment. Even highly compensated employees can experience a sudden and severe drop in income when pay stops abruptly. Benefits often help offset fixed expenses such as housing, child care, and health insurance, preventing unnecessary financial destabilization between jobs.
Under the renewed program, claimant cases will be evaluated for legal viability independent of payment status. Eligible individuals will then have the opportunity to apply for free or low-cost representation. A reduced escrow (deposit) option will also be available for qualifying clients.
“With this expansion, even minimum-wage workers will have access to the same level of services provided to higher-income claimants,” the firm stated.
Unemployment Win encourages individuals seeking representation in unemployment insurance matters seek representation early in the process and to allow more time for consideration under the reinstated program.
